INTERIOR DESIGNER
Candace Plotz Design is a fast-growing high-end residential design firm in Renfrew, ON with clients throughout the Ottawa Valley, Ottawa and surrounding areas.
Our approach is collaborative and personal to each client.
We are looking for an experienced Intermediate Designer to take part in every step of the design process for client projects. You would support and participate with our design team in creating functionally beautiful spaces for residential clients while using industry knowledge, design experience, innovative design concepts and creativity, all while keeping within the Candace Plotz Design aesthetic. We need someone who is SUPER detail-oriented, meticulous & who is a self-starter.
Qualifications:
- Available for a full time in person position (no remote option available)
- Proficiency in project planning
- Minimum of 3 years design experience
- Able to collaborate and work alongside a dynamic team
- Obtains a passion for thoughtfully curated design
Here’s What A Day in The Life of A CPD Designer Looks Like:
- Assist principal and junior designers on projects
- Prepare working drawings in CAD
- Space planning, conceptual design, conceptual budgets, sourcing materials and finishes as required
- Contribute to projects in each project phase
- Delegating appropriate tasks to junior designers
- Effectively leading projects through each design phase
- Maintaining consistent and pleasant communication forums with clients and establishing professional client relationships
- Contribute to design meetings, presentations, and site visits
- Effectively manage time and delegated tasks, and responsibilities to keep project plans on track and on time
- Properly interpret and respond to comments and feedback from contractors and trades
- Sourcing and ordering necessary samples and materials for site visits, and presentations
- Participating in project installation days as required (styling, installation, guiding trades, etc).
- Coordinating calendars with contractors, trades, and suppliers

Salary: $30.00-$75.00 per hour
